So for my last Halloween post, I’ve made a super simple googly eye cake. When I say simple, I mean SIMPLE!
This time I tinted the buttercream purple and layered the cake. I used some Halloween colored sprinkles in between each layer.
Once you’ve layered the cakes, apply a crumb coat and leave it to chill for an hour. Once set apply a second layer, much thicker this time.
One of the most commonly available things for cake decoration, especially around this time of the year are googly eyes. I bought a jar of them and used those to decorate the cake.
What you want to do is pipe little dots of icing onto the cake and then stick on the googly eyes.
And that’s honestly it. Let the cake chill for a bit so that the eyes don’t fall off.
