Back in college, I skip breakfast most days. So when I come home, I tend to make a meal out of it. Breakfast foods are probably one of my favorite ever! We even eat breakfast for dinner at home quite regularly. I don’t particularly like french toast, but when its cheese filled, I don’t mind it. Making this is insanely easy.
For the French Toast:
- Sliced bread
- Cheese slices or grated cheese
- An egg
- Salt and pepper
- Butter
The french toast starts with a simple cheese sandwich. I made mine with cheese slices after applying some butter on the bread. You can make it with grated cheese as well, both work equally well.
In a bowl, break the egg and add salt and pepper. Whisk until it’s not too thready.
Once the sandwiches are done, cut them in 4s. Making the french toast is easier this way and makes them bite sized, so easier to eat.
Heat some butter or olive oil in a pan.
Dip the sandwich in the egg, coating it from all sides evenly and place it in the pan.
After about two minutes on one side flip, the sandwich over or until the bread has a golden color.
From the sides, you should know when the egg is cooked.
And voila!
