Summer Pea Pasta

This is a recipe I actually tried out when I was in the 9th grade for a talent thing in school. Back then however, I  made fresh pasta and served it. This time I’ve used store-bought dried pasta, making my life and yours easier. If you want to however use fresh pasta, go right ahead. It’s a dish that’s light and easy to make and is perfect for the summer. Again its a recipe I found in Good Food back in 2012.

For the pasta:

  • Garlic, minced
  • Red chilli, chopped
  • Peas
  • Basil
  • Fettucine

Cook the pasta according to the packet and add the peas at the last two minutes. Strain the pasta and peas and add it back to the same pot

Heat some olive oil in a pan. Add the chillies and garlic and saute till the golden brown.

Add the chilli and garlic oil to the pasta pot and toss for a few minutes.

Tear up and few leaves of basil on top and serve.
